Since some months we often hear about evil twin attacks, and today I thought: let's see if someone tried it on me. Well, I just searched for my name on Google, and i found out that.. there was a Stefan Insam besides me!
My first thought was certainly: damn, someone 0wned me. But then I looked into this "other" Stefan, and I found out it was a real person, and apparently even a
good scientist and
sportsman.
Ok, so here we see something interesting: if someone searches for this Stefan Insam, he probably will find some...
not very positive posts, for someone who tries to have a good reputation. We could say, I'm some sort of.. legitimate evil twin. Now Stefan Insam is a pretty rare name, since it comes from a small valley in the alps, but what about, let's say.. John Smith? Marius Mustermann? Mario Rossi? Social Networks could be a real challenge, if some people are "twins". What if two Mario Rossi have always used mrossi as nick? And then both come to, let's say, facebook, and will see an "Evil Twin" there. Even if they choose Mrossi85, all of there there frineds will add mrossi to the friend list, because they know it.
Just think of all the Implications of "stealing" all of the friends of another person, and allowing them to view your "private" sections..
