Those guys won't want to admit they were also n00bies sometime and want to pretend they were born with all kind of techno skills and a built-in wardrive in their brains.
Continue studying, keep playing with Linux. When I started with Linux, I used Knoppix Live CD for like a year and mostly to go online, until one I decided I was going to put that staff in my PC. Now, I have multi-boot in my PC with Windows Vista, Windows XP, Ubuntu and Sidux (Now, I have to admit I mostly keep Windows for playing games)
Now, one recommendation, before you ask a question about an issue, make research first. If at the end, you didn't find it or need better explanation, ok; like that you will avoid some of nasty "RTFM" replies. See ya then.
