Oh, and Rogue APs. Look up karma or airsnarf. Using wireshark you can find out what prefered wireless networks are in Windows Zero Config and you can then setup a Rogue AP with the same ssid and Windows should automaticly connect to it and wait for them client to start using it and you can collect to info.

Google wifizoo and aireplay-ng. wifizoo will capture data transmitted to an unprotected wireless AP such as BTOpenzone. aireplay-ng generates traffic to use with aircrack and airodump providing you wireless card supports packet injection.

This seems like an interesting group; I should hope to learn alot from here as a student. I suppose theres alot of vulnerabilities in wireless networks, having done abit off background reading as it was required for an assignment as part of my uni course!

But I got stuck on the areas where we had to identify where logs can be collected and reviewed etc....so in the end I decided to write up on another network technology so to speak!

It would be great if peeps can reply ( not give an essay) as to what wireless network are vulnerible to!.

I've had a go at air-crack etc seems interesting but it probz take hours just to crack a WEP key, seeing as more ppl are becoming aware of this how secure is WPA??
