Who we are and what we are
[PHCN] is not public! We just have our website with minimal news and some public services like our Jabber server and since March 2008 a "Free Webspace Hosting Project". We don't like to stay with the public as other crews since we don't want the glory and the showing-off.
We are a splitted part of the Multi Programmers that were created in begin 1999. The Multi Programmers were a small group of friends that had programmed little tools but the members disbanded, so DarthShredder founded PHCN.
Until 2004 PHCN stood for "Programmer´s Hacking and Cracking Network". The idea of the name was a community of programmers and hackers that contains both whitehats and blackhats. The name was dropped in October 2004, because the time of those names had passed. Most scriptkiddie crews use names like "31337 hacker" etc. and PHCN does not want to be missunderstood. So since the end of the year 2004 we got only "PHCN" without any meaning. Some peopel say PHCN stands for "Professional Hosting and Coding Network" and they might be right.
We are no criminals, we identify ourselfes with the old ways of 'computer-culture'. That means computers are a part of our daily life and we love to understand, programm and have fun with them, but we would never do any harm to anyone.
In former times people like we were called hackers, but since the meaning of the word has changed, 'geeks' is probably the better word.
Everybody can join us if he understands our living, respects our codex and shares our view of the world. If you need any more Information, don´t hesitate to contact us directly here, via our Website or via Jabber
