House of Hackers

Huh!? Lolz!

Well i'll try to explain. Being a hacker is a way of life, as they've said somewhere on the internet, you are a hacker if you are interested in how things work and using a bit of your intelligence to change them to be useful to you. If you are a man for instance hiding behind the profile called julia presenting yourself as a girl and my eyes almost popped out on these pics you already can call yourself a hacker cause you use a way that is called social engineering = lying to people. At the other hand maybe you are not, had some cases when girls came to me asking how to become hackers cause to ruin some girls or ex boyfriends myspace or facebook...
You dont need to be interested in computers to be a hacker, a hacker can be a gardener who is interested in genetically modifying his plants, or an electrician, or a cooker... You can simply start tweaking your OS environment to help your needs and you are a hacker! First of all make a difference between a White Hat Hackers (Hackers) and Black Hat Hackers (Crackers). The difference is that hackers help make life better and safer they find holes in security and help fix them they find the ways for modifying everyday environment and devices to be more useful, they help each other sharing knowledge, but the crackers are these guys who provide you with game cracks and serials, who build viruses for destructional and information gathering purposes, they get into banks, credit cards, user profiles... Well my opinion is to know the both ways and become a whatchamacallit Gray Hat Hacker, just like Gandalf the gray! Lmao! But beware not to get captured by the police if you decide to be a cracker, like i did... well i was young.... ha ha ha! Fags...

Anyways let me learn you the first step of becoming a hacker. It is called GOOGLE.
Just google the question "How to become a hacker" and voila!
You find yourself a link like this... http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/hacker-howto.html >>this site is the best! :P

Also this is where you can practice "hacking": http://www.hackthissite.org/

The second step is to switch to LINUX! For the love of god!

Why switch to linux when you can simply switch to FreeBSD/PCBSD :P the problem with linux is there are a billion distros which are all the same, with the exception of different packages (DEB, RPM, etc...) and different software pre installed. Where as BSD is a much more solid platform.

I don't have any problems with BSD, I love BSD...when the hardware permits. I love Open BSD but its lack of video drivers for my current hardware is a turn off for my desktop. I used to run it on my laptop and loved it. I don't have the laptop anymore so i don't have an Open BSD machine at the time being. And I would run Free BSD on my desktop but they don't have 64 bit NVIDIA drivers (nor does ATI have any BSD drivers at all) and if I run a 32 bit OS I lose the use of half of my hardware resources. So when the hardware permits, definitely BSD. But if you are in a situation like me, Linux is your best bet. I am a Slackware fan so I use Slamd64. Gentoo is also a very nice Linux, especially if you like BSD ports (which I love by the way xD) as Gentoo has portage, which is very similar. I use Slackware just for personal preference. Hope this helps anyone looking to get into BSD that may have the need to run 64 bit like I do.
