Depends on the CPU and the host OS (if any). I've seen Windows XP under ESX on intel P4 single CPU machines running pretty fast.

... I'm not actually a fan of non-virtualized Windows installations...

Heya. I have some quick question on virtualization:

Is it a good idea to virtualize Windows XP on a single core CPU? You see, I plan to reinstall my copy of XP (after nLiteing the files; http://www.nliteos.com/), and I wish to test it before an actual install.

Will my resources get drained? Are there any programs that will help me -prevent- this?
