It changes a person.. When you meet a beginning hacker, you can tell if he/she read this or not. Serious ^^

Yeah you better should stay on the right tracks..
Btw SolarTouch feel free to contact me too, it's probably easier for you to talk dutch with somebody your age ;)
Wow root I couldn't have put any of that better myself! You are smart person! haha, so yeah listen to what root said kid, and I tihnk you're age is the best to start at! Not too young and you have many more years to learn, because that's what it's all about, time, and time for lots of trial and error! I started at 13 and I'm 21 now! And I can honestly say that I am quite the samurai haha!

Sc4Rzz. who has replied beneath i met on some networking site like hoh and i learned much from him from ip's to tcp ports python and so.
So yeah sure u can learn at that age even Bill Gates(sucks) made at his 10th or so some game so why not?

Ugh, god I hate that guy. Can hardly get through a single thread without seeing someone recommend Eric R's awful "how to be a hacker" guide. Anyways, all depends on how you look at things dude. If you want to learn how to pwn teh newbs I'd suggest starting with networking, moving to some programming, and then look into the network security books (just not Hacking Exposed unless you want to learn how it works "in principle" or a good history lesson). If you want to learn all the ethical stuff they were talking about start with networking and programming as I described, but also learn more about hardware, operating systems (how they operate, not just how you work with them), etc. Your age is hardly a factor. With as ignorant as I am at many things I started really getting into all my geekery around 11-12, and was at least working around computers a bit before then. Anyways I guess my final advice to you SolarTouch is not to let others define who you should be or what you should be into to be a hacker. Part of the beauty of being an individual is defining your own path, and who you are for yourself. Don't let anyone else do that for you, fuck what anyone on this site says. In fact, fuck my advice. Do as you will. =)

Or better yet, read the posts in the newbie area and don't bother posting yourself.
