So is this like some kind of ghost domain now? Admins thought they closed the site but we're still here? Be nice to see just at least one comment from whoever's in charge here to explain the recent change to the site. If it is now true anarchy now though, then Anarchy Angel gets my vote (or do anarchists even vote?).
Last time I saw an admin around here was more or less about 10 March, a day or 2 before everything went kaput. I think I remember seeing a comment somewhere about pdp thinking about leaving ning and setting up the community somewhere else, but I haven't seen anything new related in Google. Maybe HoH didn't live up to his initial plans or reach the potential he had hoped, or maybe he just got tired and quit. It's a real shame because I was just starting to get in to it. As long as we're still here we could maybe try to put it to our own use, maybe squeeze as much utility out of it as possible, try to keep some of the discussion groups going. But with no real admin taking responsibility I'm afraid HoH is eventually doomed to a slow lingering death. Also since the change there are a LOT of people who just don't visit any more, lots of talent lost.
That's not true, admins are still around.
Pdp tried to moved to a 2nd version of HoH, but i think that didnt worked, right now the project is still alive and pdp is trying to define a new direction for the place along with the admins.
Hola Creegan,
Well at last I'm glad to finally see a post from one of the admins. As you can see, the rest of us have been wondering about what has been going on exactly for the past month. I feel a little bit better now.
I sincerely hope we can all contribute to keep HoH on the right track. I agree with Mark in recognizing that it's not easy to manage a social community of this particular nature, and I suppose that a few bothersome posts by lamers now and then who just want to break in to their girlfriend's e-mail or facebook page are inevitable, but on the other hand HoH is one of the main sites (among others) that has helped me in the past few months to expand my personal knowledge about hacking and I definitely woulld like to see HoH continue.
Saludos.
Yup, sorry for not posting too often, but my RSS feed broke up somehow and I wasn't receiving movement from HoH
Besides right now i have my hands full, so im just logging to check, delete and warn some users.

I'm in and out visiting now and again. I would have stayed around but as we all do, I have too much on my plate.
Right know I am bored rigged and without purpose. I think this sums up what has happen with HoH. As I have said before, it's always going to be difficult to create a social environment for hacker because of their nature. What makes it harder is not lack of direction but lack of purpose. All the other forum and sites and visit have a purpose and thats what this site is lacking. V2 was a great idea but I remember going back to it and everyone had gone and someone else was running the show so I didn't trust it.
If pdp could get V2 running or we get could purpose then it will work. The other issue is our range of skills, we will never agree on one goal so maybe a diiferent approach will help. If we had a big whiteboard what would we write? Visions, goals and direction. If we could start a V3 then what would you propose?
As I said, I'm bored and without purpose. Give me some ideas and we can make something work. Maybe if we started smaller. Perhaps vBulletin and work up towards a portal like we have with ning. Maybe something else like a Framework project like on the GNUCITIZEN site. Even if its not something new, we can cover old ground and make things new, eg: This week I turned my old xbox into a NAS with torrent and I can SSH into it. <-- very lifehacker but great.
