House of Hackers

Hi all...I'm new to Cisco, however, here is my scenario.
I had ADSL installed, but the DLINK modem/router cannot do Port Forwarding.
My question:
I want to use the crap DLINK only as a modem, thus use it in bridge mode, and let the Cisco do the routing.
Can this be done?, or can the Cisco only be connected to a ISDN line thus making it incompatible with ADSL.
Please no speculations...I had enough of that from DLINK.
