House of Hackers

FreeBSD® is an advanced operating system for modern server, desktop, and embedded computer platforms. FreeBSD's code base has undergone over thirty years of continuous development, improvement, and optimization. It is developed and maintained by a large team of individuals. FreeBSD provides advanced networking, impressive security features, and world class performance and is used by some of the world's busiest web sites and most pervasive embedded networking and storage devices.

In my opinion is the biggest and best operating system for various firewalls and servers.

I would have to agree FreeBSD is the best.. I even find it good for desktops when you combined it with PCBSD then you get the best of both worlds.

OpenBSD native has a good firewall, but lost in a matter of stability and performance with multiprocessor.

PCBSD has the exact same firewall as OpenBSD with all the benefits of FreeBSD

ill agree with that. openbsd is a lil sketchy in multiprocessing, but native and default layout is definately best for firewalls.

I love Linux period, but I find either FreeBSD or Ubuntu the best for programming, and multiprocessing, which is why i use both, because I can't handle one thing at a time, I have to muli-task. So I use Gentoo for my laptop and FreeBSD for my Desktop, and that works perfect for me!
