I've been using XHTML+CSS+PHP+MySQL for a few years now and so far I haven't found anything I can't do with it.

PHP is a very powerful language, especially when combined with a database like MySQL.

I'd stay away from ASP personally, but that's just my opinion.

"Tous court" PHP and Mysql for many reasons, it's (Open source) gratis The most popular documents codes can be found any where on web ....but you need to be more expert if we talk about security and specially php.

I use Django framawork... it is very easy, powerfull and it has a some applications for some security trouble... but you should know python to develop in it.
