Attention:
Be careful and close all important applications. My system suddenly froze. ... I mean ... completely.
AV, Firewall, Config ... dont know why. So - be prepared.

Thx for the warning.

Not sure what you did exactly or what caused your problem. Are you saying they have some sort of updater software that automatically downloads some of the sysinternals tools to your system? Or, are you just installing some of their things and having troubles? I have had a handful of their things on my system for many years without any of them causing problems when running.

Its not about the sysinternals tools ...
I am not writing to promote the tools - oh no. They are quite old.

I wrote to tell everyone that you can access them via a live netbios share through the internet using nothing more than a command line prompt.

Just try to type the following line in your command prompt.
\\live.sysinternals.com\tools\procmon

(and save all open files before ;)

hmm, i can't seem to access it. wonder if they changed something. seems funny they would allow netbios incoming on their firewall.

you probably need to have upnp on your router, or some-such as iirc this would use random ports over 6500, so on a direct connection it may work but not behind a nat router.
